RUTILEA Raising a Total of Approximately 8.6 Billion Yen through Series D and Debt Financing

RUTILEA and AI Fukushima have completed equity and debt financing procedures in Series D round by August 2024. RUTILEA (Kyoto, Japan; CEO Takafumi Yano), with the mission of making AI easily accessible for all, is dedicated to vertical AI business development. AI Fukushima (Fukushima, Japan; CEO Takafumi Yano) is a wholly owned subsidiary of RUTILEA focused in the AI development platform field.


At the end of the procedures, RUTILEA Group is pleased to announce a newly raised funding of a total of approximately 8.6 billion yen (including borrowing facility).



Regarding equity finance in the current Series D round, starting with lead investor Daiwa House Ventures, existing investors Abies Ventures, Global Brain, Shimadzu Future Innovation Fund, as well as Resona Capital and Kyoto Capital Partners, participated in the investment.


With debt financing providers including Kyoto Bank, Resona Bank, Sumitomo Mitsui Bank, Toho Bank and 77 Bank, the RUTILEA Group achieved unsecured, unguaranteed, and no-dilution funding.


As a result, the RUTILEA Group's cumulative fundraising to date amounts to approximately 10 billion Japanese yen.

▼Use of Funds Raised

The funds will be used to improve the GPU data center by AI Fukushima, invest in new businesses including the AI development platform business supported by the center, research and development, the active recruitment of business representatives and engineers, and more.


▼Regarding RUTILEA Business

Since the founding in 2018, RUTILEA has been providing highy accurate ready-to-use AI products that help improve labor productivity. Recently, we started developing vertical AI businesses targeting specific industries such as central government ministries and agencies and the automotive industry. In 2024, we will also establish a GPU data center in Okuma-cho, Futaba-gun, Fukushima Prefecture, and begin an business expansion with our AI development platform.
